Icons not being desplayed in all browswers 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi, please check out www.cio2cio.me
The icons are not being displayed in any browsers.
When you see the image properties you will notice that there is a space after .png and that is why they are not displaying.
What is causing this and how do I fix it?
By the way this has been working for a long time, I do not know when/how the problem started/occured

Help please.

Thanks,

-Ayman

Me too! I'm on Joomla 2.5.6 by now. Maybe that's the problem?
Anyway, it seems an extra space is added to the absolute path to the icon(s)
So for example:
www.mydomain.com/modules/mod_socialmedia.../size2/linkedin.png_
(where the underscore represents the addes space.
If I remove the space (when I choose 'view image' by using my right mousebutton) the icon does show up. This is only a problem in Firefox as far as I can see.
Is there a solution for this? Help is appreciated.

Thanks for the wonderful extension!

Hi,

Yes this is exactly the same problem I was facing.
But in the absence of any replies or any support from Viper I was forced to de install their module and I am currently using a new one from a different developer who provides support on the spot, very responsive:

www.infyways.com/store/social-icon-display.html

Good Luck

Thanks Ayman,
I am however hoping for a reply from Viper. I'll give them a week, which seems really fair to me! If there will be no patch available I will follow your suggestion.

I had the same problem recently where a space seems to be added after the image file name so that the file name can't be found.

I managed to trace this back to a conflict with RokBookster, a performance utility from RocketTheme that combines and compresses .js and .css files. There is an option to ignore specific files in the advanced settings. There only appears to be one CSS file associated with this extension but I couldn't get RokBooster to work with SMILE at all no matter what file or path I told RokBooster to ignore.

I have disabled RokBooster in the meantime.

Neil.
