Installation Instructions:

Files and Directories that must be writable (CHMOD 777):

1. /administrator/components/com_eventlist/models/event.php
2. /administrator/components/com_eventlist/tables/eventlist_events.php
3. /administrator/components/com_eventlist/views/event/tmpl/default.php
4. /administrator/components/com_eventlist/assets/images
5. /eventlisttest/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventlist.ini
6. /components/com_eventlist/models/details.php
7. /components/com_eventlist/views/details/tmpl/default.php
8. /components/com_eventlist/views/editevent/tmpl/default.php
9. /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventlist.ini

Step by Step Installation Guide

1. Download the custom fields hack to your computer. You can download the file here.


2. Extract the archive and locate the folder named "Eventlist Hack Files." Copy the files that are in this folder to your root joomla directory via FTP or your File Manager. Be sure to overwrite the existing files. (Your existing files must be writable.)


3. Go to your database via phpmyadmin and import the custom_fields_sql.sql file


4. Now you can modify the 2 language files for your custom fields. So open the files:
   1. /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventlist.ini
   2. /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventlist.ini
   
   Change the text as per the example below:
   Find the line: CUSTOM FIELD 1=Custom Field 1
   
   Change this to whatever you want like:
   CUSTOM FIELD 1=VIP Ticket Price
   CUSTOM FIELD 2=Age Group
   You get the idea. (Be sure to save the language files as UTF-8 format.)


5. Now upload the language files back to their respected location

Thats it! You now should have new custom fields in your eventlist!
